Nairobi - Devolution CS Anne Waiguru will dissolve some sections of the National Youth Service NYS, she has said.
She said Monday that she would do so after receiving a report from the Ethics and Anti Corruption over the loopholes that have been taken advantage of in the past by corrupt officials.
The NYS has lost billions of shillings since it was relaunched by the Jubilee coalition.
Waiguru said Monday that she would follow all recommendations made by the EACC over the NYS.
" I will follow the report to the letter and start the process to redeem public confidence in the NYS," she said Monday at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies.
The EACC says that the NYS has made mistakes by not having an open tender system which has been misused by those in influential positions.
" It is certain that mistakes have been made and now is the time to rectify them," she added.
Waiguru has been under pressure to quit office after it was confirmed that the money at the NYS was lost.
She has survived two impeachment motions and pressure from the opposition to quit.
