Waiguru on the brink as MPS sign up to impeach her

Nairobi - MPs have collected the required number of signatures needed to impeach Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru, it has emerged.
A list of signatures needed to ensure the impeachment motion set up by Kericho MP Charles Keter has already been handed to the Clerk of the National Assembly.
An impeachment motion only needs the support of 88 MPs, who can be found easily, especially from the opposition who have been keen to have Waiguru kicked out of office.
" We are confident. Lets wait and see," Keter told News24 when asked about the motion.
The MPs are seeking to have Waiguru kicked out in the meantime due to the chronic corruption taking place in her Devolution Ministry and especially in the National Youth Service NYS.
The NYS has announced that over KES 791 million has been lost due to corrupt deals.
MPs thus want Waiguru to step aside from office and allow investigations take place but thus far she has refused.
In the meantime, the Constitution Implementation Commission CIC has been in court and landed a court order barring MPs from impeaching Waiguru.
