07 April 2015, 18:36
Nairobi - In a show of patriotism and strength, Wahu
Kagwi has penned one of the most touching messages to the families and friends
of all the 147 students lost during the attack in Garissa.
She posted the
message on Facebook, where many of her fans have shared and commented on it. It
is also a message praising Kenya as a nation, speaking of its beauty and her
love for it.
Kenya! my love, the land in which I was born.
The land in which I shall one day be buried. I cherish you. Who can compete
with you in beauty? When your enemies look upon you, they are in awe.
green with envy at how blessed & glorious you are.
We have seen them try to break you, by hurting those you treasure most.
We have seen them try to kill your spirit, by taking the precious lives of your
beloved children. We mourn for them. We weep for the brothers and sisters
That we have lost to cowardly acts of terror, and we live in
the hope that we shall one day see them again.
Because they've made you weep, my beloved Kenya, they think they are strong?
They are wrong. You are stronger! You are mightier! You are better!!
We stand tall, and proudly proclaim that Yes!! We are Kenyan!! We ARE Kenya!!!
They can break our hearts BUT THEY WILL NEVER BREAK OUR SPIRIT”
