Nairobi - Several University of Nairobi Kikuyu campus students have been injured after they jumped several floors fearing terror attacks after an explosion.
The incident took place Sunday morning after the students mistook the explosion for a terror attack.
It was later revealed that it was an electric transformer that had blown up.
" There are some students who have jumped several floors and are injured badly. It was a terror scare because the explosion was loud and people are scared," a student that did not wish to be named told News24 on phone.
The scare comes just over a week after the Garissa University College terror attacks which have raised temperatures in campuses across the country.
The Garissa attacks which were fronted by the Al Shabaab terror group, saw 148 people killed and over 100 injured.
