Nairobi - TV host Jeff Koinange is in Nigeria and thus could not attend a court session, his lawyers have said.
His lawyers Charles Mwongera and Edwin Sifuna informed the court Monday that they could not
reach Koinange as he was said to be in Nigeria attending a meeting.
Koinange has been ordered arrested by the court after he failed to appear in court as had been agreed last week.
Last week, he was released on a KES 100,000 bail, for flouting court orders.
The TV host was last week taken to court for failing to adhere to court orders and released on a KES 100,000 bail.
has however been ordered arrested again after failing to appear in
court Monday morning, after he had been ordered last week to show up
after being released on bail.
Koinange is in court, together with
co- accused political analyst Tony Gachoka for failing to adhere to an
order which topped them from discussing businessman Jimmy Wanjigi and
his company on Koinange's 'Jeff Koinange Live' show.
The two are said to have mentioned that Wanjigi and his brothers were involved in the Anglo Leasing scandal.
