Nairobi - Ukoo Flani Maumau rapper Zakah has decided to follow in the
footsteps of the legendary Juliani.
Juliani, who was one of the chief members
of the famed underground hiphop movement, shifted his focus from secular music
to gospel music, rising up the ranks to become one of Kenya’s biggest artists.
Zakah, another chief member of the hip hop group, decided to make the shift as
well, releasing a new song, singing about Jesus and how he is the “Voice of the
voiceless, hope for the hopeless and home for the homeless”.
The new jam called “Precious Life” is a well done hip hop
gospel track, which will have you bobbing your head and getting blessed. This
switch by the rapper has potential for some of the most inspired hip hop gospel
His skills are undoubtable, being one of the best lyricists in the
country, with many of his fans applauding the move.
