Uhuru suspends EACC bosses after MPs’ vote

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta has suspended the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Chairperson Mumo Matemu and Vice Chairperson Irene Keino from their offices.
The president suspended the two after MPs voted for their removal on Wednesday.

“President @UKenyatta suspends EACC Chairperson Mumo Matemu & Vice Chairperson Irene Keino from their offices pending tribunal hearing,” State House Spokesperson announced on twitter.

The fate of the two now lies in the tribunal that was set up to investigate their conduct.
