Uhuru set for three day State visit to Uganda
04 August 2015, 16:41
Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta will visit Uganda on a three day State visit starting Friday.
IN a visit that mirrors that of US President Barack Obama to Kenya, Uhuru will also hold bilateral talks with President Yoweri Museveni, attend a business forum and meet the Kenyan community in Uganda.
The two leaders will hold a joint press conference on Sunday and later be joined by Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn for another meeting.
The visit will be afforded full State status, unlike Obama's which was not considered a State visit.
Kenya and Uganda has longstanding business and socio- economic ties and the visit will be seen as an opportunity to strengthen the ties.
President Museveni will also detail his plans for what he prefers to be a well run electoral process in 2016, when the country heads to the polls.
