Uhuru refuses to disband Makueni County government

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta has refused to disband the Makueni Coounty gopvernment, saying that there are enough mechanisms to solve the issues affecting the government.
The President said Sunday that he felt there was no big reason to disband the Country and that he was certain there was room for healing and reconciliation over the matter at hand.
The County has been in limbo following the refusal of the County Assembly to work with the government .
Governor Kivutha Kibwana has also been impeached in the melee.
" The President reaffirms that our constitutional, legal and political architecture provide sufficient alternative mechanisms to deal with maladministration, corruption and ineptitude,” he said in a statement Sunday.
The refusal follows the presentation of a report by a Commision set up to invcestigate the problems facing the County which recommended dissolution.
