Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta's popularity has dropped by 19% while that of his rival Raila Odinga has risen, according to a poll.
According to an Ipsos poll, Uhuru's popularity has dropped from 67% to 48%,while Raila's rating rises from 24% to 29%.
The poll says that Kenyans are not confident that the president is not capable of ensuring Kenyans are safe, a reaction from the aftermath of the Garissa University College terror attack which saw 148 people killed.
Kenyans are also not happy with the rise in costs of basic commodities.
On the other hand, Kenyans say that Uhuru has tried his best to fight corruption, going by his assertion that public officials resign from office if named in corruption scandals.
Kenyans confidence in the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision EACC, and the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision IEBC has also dropped according to the poll.
