Uhuru opens Kenya to Qatari investment

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta has said that Kenya is a great destination for Qatari businesses if they choose to invest in the country.
The president was speaking during a meeting with His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani during an official reception at Emir Diwan Wednesday.
He said that the country was ripe for investment saying that there have been improvements in many aspects of the country.
He said that with improved infrastructure, human resource as well as heightened growth in entrepreneurship, the country is on the right path as regards development.
" Kenya welcomes investment in the various sectors available in the country and the government has facilitated the growth and improvement of aspects that generate growth and facilitates good business climate, he said.
On his part, Sheikh Hamad thanked the president for his visit and said that his country would continue building bridges with Kenya.
" The two countries have always been friends and we continue to share hopes and dreams as we look forward to a prosperous future together, he said.
President Kenyatta is on a three day state visit to the oil rich gulf state.
During his stay there, which begun Monday, the president has visited various industries including Qatar's renowned energy and transportation hubs.
