Uhuru leaves Monday for Qatar state visit

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta will leave the country Monday for a three days state visit to Qatar.
The president will be accompanied by first lady Margaret Kenyatta to the middle eastern nation in a visit which will see bilateral ties between the two countries discussed.
On his visit, president Kenyatta will meet His Highness the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani as well as other key government and private sector officials to discuss development and business prospects between the two nations.
" The president will seek to strengthen relations between the two countries which date to as far as the 15th century, State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu said.
The president will visit ongoing energy projects while in Qatar, as the country seeks to enhance its energy portfolio.
He will further assess the development and management of port facilities in the country, which have been described as some of the best and most efficiently managed in the world.
