Uhuru invites Raila to meet Obama at State House

Nairobi - They might not be the best of friends in a political sense, but President Uhuru Kenyatta saw no harm in inviting CORD leader Raila Odinga to the State dinner organized for US President Barack Obama.
Raila was among the close to 200 guests invited for the dinner at State House grounds Saturday where many were allowed the chance to have a meet and greet with the US President.
And he did not waste his opportunity, holding quite lengthy talks with Obama and then having a nice photo of him and wife Ida Odinga taken.
The CORD leader also spoke to Uhuru and Deputy President William Ruto during the dinner, an indication of a united front in welcoming the world's single most powerful man.
" This is good stuff. The government has done well in the last few days and must be commended," he stated.
Raila is expected to hold formal talks with Obama Sunday, even though the exact timing and location is yet to be known.
