Uhuru follows Obama to Ethiopia

27 July 2015, 14:06 Victor Tinto

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta has traveled to Ethiopia for the African Union summit.

Uhuru will join US President Barack Obama Tuesday for a multilateral meeting on the conflicts in South Sudan and Burundi.

He left the country Just before 1 PM Monday and will spend two day in Addis Ababa.

Uhuru's trip follows a highly successful visit of President Obama to Kenya over the weekend, one which has been described by many as a high success.

According to sources at State House, the President and the Jubilee government has been given a shot in the arm by the very successful Obama trip.

" State House is a happy place and the government has been given a real shot in the arm by the fact that everything went well," the source that did not want to be named told News24.

In Ethiopia, Uhuru will join up with other leaders to discuss the issues facing South Sudan, which has been conflict ridden and Burundi where there have been allegations of poor elections.
