Uhuru appoints 'Retired' Kimaiyo KAA chairman
31 December 2014, 15:51
Nairobi - Retired Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo has been appointed Kenya Airports Authority chairman by president Uhuru Kenyatta.
The former police boss, who was shamefully forced to resign from office last month after continued failure to resurrect a flailing police service has been appointed chairman of the highly important KAA.
The appointment was confirmed by the president's office a few moments after Joseph Boinett was named the new IG of Police Wednesday.
Reasons for his appointment despite his retirement were not yet clear by the time of publication.
Kimaiyo, who has had a checkered time in the public service is a career police officer and his appointment to head a key parastatal will raise more questions than answers.
