Uhuru/ Ruto praise Lupita achievement

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy president William Ruto have all praised the achievement of Lupita Nyong'o in winning an Academy Award.
Nyong'o, winner of the best supporting actress at the Oscar's on Sunday,
stunned Hollywood in her big-screen debut with her searing turn as an
abused servant in "12 Years A Slave."
She has already picked up the Screen Actors Guild and Critics' Choice awards for
best supporting actress for her turn as Patsey, a slave brutalized by
her sadistic owner, played by Michael Fassbender.
And with world adulation pouring in, the twin Kenyan leaders were not left behind in their praise.
" Lupita has done Kenya proud by achieving a feat very few have. We as Kenyans are proud that she has achieved this success and hope that she will be a role model to other aspiring Kenyans, President Kenyatta said.
His deputy William Ruto too was ecstatic on learning of the news and tweeted his pleasure at the achievement.
" Talent plus education can change your life:It's a package deal. Just ask "no matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid", he said.
Other leaders too heaped praise on Nyong'o including former Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka.
" It is a great honour for the country to have a star in Lupita's mould. Congratulations, he said.
