Uhuru, Raila share Kisumu stage

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta and CORD leader Raila Odinga shared a stage at the 2015 Devolution Conference in Kisumu.
The two leaders were both attendees to the opening of the conference being held in Kisumu this year.
There was some concern that Uhuru would receive a bad reception in the city following his arduous reception in Migori last year where he was heckled.
That however, was not the case Tuesday as the president was received with song and dance and the CORD leader was there to ensure that things went smoothly.
The two leaders also shared a dance at the beginning of the conference and plenty of laughter too.
The conference is set to detail the progress made by devolved governments in the last two years and seek ways of actually improving it.
The conference is being attended by all 47 Governors and their deputies and will be closed by Deputy President William Ruto.
President Kenyatta is set to make the keynote speech at the conference and will then proceed to open a Huduma Centre within Kisumu.
Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma had promised that the president would receive a good reception in the port city.
" The president is very welcome in the city and Kisumu residents will treat him with the respect he deserves.
