Ugandan prostitutes fight over Kenyan truck driver

Kampala - Chaos ensued Tuesday morning at Naluwerere trading centre, along Busia-Kampala highway after two sex workers fought over a Kenyan long-distance truck driver.
As the Kenyan truck driver only identified as Njoroge walked out of the lodging with Jackie Namulondo, the woman he spent the night with, he was attacked by another woman called Gloria Namwase.
Namwase first hit Njoroge with a big stick on the head before turning to Namulondo as the man fled for his life.
She hit her several times on the head and other parts of the body and by the time people separated them, she had caused bodily harm on her.
Namulondo was rushed to hospital while bleeding profusely as Namwase was taken to police.
Njoroge ran to his truck that was parked in a parking yard about 200 meters away, spoke to a few of his colleagues and drove off towards Kenya.
Namwase claimed that Njoroge is her husband and they even have a 4-year-old kid, claiming that Njoroge had stopped visiting them whenever he stopped at Naluwere and instead went for sex workers.
But Njoroge denied the allegations saying that Namwase was just one of the prostitutes he had slept with.
Naluwerere trading is located at around 50 kms from Uganda - Kenya border and many long-distance truck drivers spend their nights there.
The place has more lodges than shops with hundreds of sex workers hanging around.
