US Embassy Education Office conducts outreach programme

15 November 2013, 13:13

Nakuru - The United States of America Embassy Education Office has embarked on an outreach programme to sensitize Kenyans on overseas education and training.

While addressing students and staff at Egerton University Nakuru Town Campus on Thursday, the US Embassy Education Advisor, Faith Biko, said there was a need for Kenyans to be fully aware of the opportunities, challenges and merits in overseas education and training in the United States so as to fully exploit chances.

Biko added that her office would continue providing necessary information to Kenyans including students, parents and sponsors on the best way to approach education and training in her country noting that the US foreign policy deeply recognizes exchange programmes and training opportunities between the two countries.

She further announced that the Embassy’s Education Office offers online Library services to provide information and awareness on education and life in the USA.

“Such information services are geared towards improving the mutual ties between Kenya and USA and also provide basic information on education opportunities, standards and life in the USA,” she remarked.
