Busia - MPs allied to the United Republican Party (URP) want the Cabinet Secretary for Devolution, Anne Waiguru to step aside and pave way for investigations over alleged plan to embezzle KES 826 million belonging to National Youth Service.
Speaking in Busia County during a funds drive, Marakwet East MP Kangongo Bowen said the war against corruption should not be selective and public officers who were cleared should be reinstated.
"Over KES 800 million cannot just disappear without the knowledge of key government officials. If other cabinet secretaries stepped aside three months ago, CS Waiguru should follow suit,'' said Bowen.

Bowen said Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission should be given a free hand to investigate and come up with all the names of those who plotted to swindle NYS by inflating costs of tenders.
"EACC should come up with another list of shame over NYS corruption allegations and those found guilty should be prosecuted,'' said Keiyo south MP, Jackson Kiptanui. For the latest on national news, politics, sport, entertainment and more follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page!
