Two week break in Ruto/Sang ICC trial

Nairobi - There will be a two week break in the William Ruto/ Joshua Arap Sang trial as directed in the ICC calendar.
The revelation was made Wednesday after the trial, which was set to continue did not take off.
According to the calendar, there was no trial set for today and the rest of the week as well as the coming week.
The ICC did not hand in an explanation for the expected lull.
The case has been hit by a number of issues, key being that of the withdrawal of witnesses which has hurt the prosecution team led by Fatou Bensouda.
Bensouda has previously accused Ruto of waylaying witnesses, case in point the actions of journalist Walter Barasa who is accused of leading the charge to withdraw witnesses.
Ruto's team though has counter accused Bensouda of fronting witnesses who are liars and have no basis in their argument.
They also say that the witnesses have been coached.
Revelations by former chief prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo over the on-goings at the ICC have also added fuel to the already simmering case.
