Bungoma - Police in Bungoma are comping every corner of the County in a bid to trace two notorious inmates who escaped from Bungoma GK Prison Sunday afternoon.
Confirming the incident, the Prison officer in charge, Henry Ochieng said they suspect it was an inside job and that they have launched investigations to unravel the puzzle that led to the escape.
"On Sundays, all inmates remain indoors and all the prison warders were on duty when the two escaped so we fail to understand how they made a daylight escape yet we have vigilant officers," said Ochieng on phone.

Ochieng also confirmed that three British nationals who were arrested without proper documents escaped from the correction facility last week after they were convicted at a Bungoma court.
The trio had been arrested and arraigned in court for being in the country illegally but they disappeared mysteriously from facility and until now, their whereabouts are not yet known.
"We are investigating if some prison warders are colluding with the inmates for them to escape. We want to get to the bottom of this issue. Those found colluding with the inmates will face disciplinary measures," said Ochieng.
