The three people who were on the boda boda are members of the same family who had hired the motorcycle to the nearby Ngata trading center.
Moses Alila, an eyewitness said that the personal vehicle was overspeeding before it rammed into the motorcycle.
“The vehicle was in high speed and was heading to Eldoret while the boda boda was headed towards Nakuru,” he said.
The driver of the vehicle was visibly terrified and did not speak to the press until police arrived and towed his vehicle to the Nakuru Central Police station where it is awaiting the mandatory vehicle inspection.
There was heavy traffic snarl up at the busy road as anxious members of the public milled the scene to witness the horrific road crash. Residents had a tough time controlling relatives of the deceased as emotions ran high in the roadside village of Kamugei and Kiptendent.
Nakuru Police boss, Benard Kioko confirmed the incident and asked motorists to be careful especially during the Christmas holiday.
