Kampala - Two Kenyans died in accident Tuesday morning while travelling from Busia to Kampala.
The accident occurred at 9.00 am at Nakalama trading centre in Iganga district, 65 kms from the Kenya border town of Busia.
The two were travelling in a mini-bus registration number UAB 237 B when the accident occurred. The driver of the vehicle, a Ugandan, died on the spot.
Traffic police officer, Dezi Apuyo has identified the dead Kenyans as Richard Wabwire and Simon Mulengi. He said that the dead appeared to be brothers.
He attributed the accident to over speeding.
''It was raining and the driver was over speeding. He lost control and the vehicle veered off the road, knocking a sign post and rolling over several times,'' Apuyo said.
He said that the bodies of the two Kenyans and the Ugandan driver have been taken to Iganga hospital, about 10 kms from the scene of the accident.
Nine other occupants of the vehicle, including 3 Kenyans, sustained severe injuries and have also been rushed to hospital.
