Tuju wants to serve Kenyans

17 December 2012, 12:04 Robert Kibet

POA party presidential hopeful Raphael Tuju says he formed an alliance with Gatanga legislator Peter Kenneth not in a bid to rule Kenyans but rather to serve them.

The former Rarieda legislator said this when he addressed the media at the Nakuru Kingdom Seekers church on Sunday.

Tuju said his alliance with Peter Kenneth is intended to unite Kenyans at a time when the country is polarized with tribal politics.

“Myself and Peter Kenneth, we do offer an alternative to the very polarized politics that is characterizing our campaigns in this country today. Unfortunately we do have hate and fear defining our politics today”, said Tuju.

He also urged the youth in the country to make sure that they do vote for leaders who will bring hope to Kenyans, as compared to the politics witnessed over and over in Kenya where Kenyans have been voting on tribal basis.

At the same time, Tuju dismissed leaders who want to be elected based on who are there parents, adding that if the Kenyans vote basing on the same; it will deny qualified upcoming leaders a chance to lead the country.

The former Rarieda MP who schooled in Nakuru in his young age before joining Starehe Boys, the school he shared with Peter Kenneth, urged Nakuru County residents to ensure that they stay together as united community regardless of the cosmopolitance nature of the county.
