Trouble as youths storm ODM Homa Bay nominations

Nairobi - There has been trouble in Homa Bay as youths threatened to storm the nomination hall for the ODM Senatorial race.
The youths numbering around 50, stormed the venue of the nominations and asked to be let into the hall in a bid to try ensure that proceedings were running in the right manner.
However, a heavy presence of police and election officials persuaded the youths to slow down on their demands.
" We want to ensure that everything runs in the right manner. We want to be sure that there are no issues on the ground," one of the youths that did not want to be named said.
There are 408 delegates that will decide who represents the party in the elections set for February. They range from Homa Bay Governor, 9 MPs, 48 Members of the County Assembly and 58 representatives from each constituency.
There are 8 candidates, led bytlate Senator Otieno Kajwang’s brother Moses, veteran politician Philip Okundi, Caroli Omondi, a former aide to party leader Raila Odinga, Ochieng Mbeo, Oyugi Kambona, Tom Mboya, Fred Rabongo, and Silas Jakakimba.
The results are expected to be known by mid afternoon.
