Tread carefully, ODM is out to finish you - MP tells Ababu

02 March 2015, 21:16 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - Webuye Member of Parliament, Alfred Sambu has called on Budalangi Member of Parliament to tread carefully, claiming that the ODM Party is out to finish him politically.

Sambu claimed that the recent woes facing Namwamba at the parliamentary public accounts committee have been solidly crafted by ODM with the aim of silencing him politically by tarnishing his name with corruption allegations.

Speaking Sunday at the end of the western leaders retreat in Naivasha, Sambu asked Namwamba to be wary of enemies within his party.

“ODM is doing everything possible within its reach to finish Ababu politically. They are not happy with him and they even want him out of the party. The PAC saga was their making and it was a plan that was well orchestrated but it failed. They cannot blame it on Jubilee because majority of their members in PAC voted against him,” said Sambu.

Sambu, who ditched ODM for UDF ahead of the 2013 general elections, said Ababu needs to seriously think about his political future and join other Luhya leaders in forging their political future.

“If Ababu is a serious leader who is dreaming of leading the Luhya national and Kenya, he must come out as a leader with a stand and stop forcing himself on people who do not want him because they will destroy him before 2017,” he said.
