Traffic police officers alleged to have received bribe along the highway leading to Isiolo have recorded statement at Nanyuki police station.
This follows after a local Tv station highlighted in its recent news how Kenya Police turn roadblocks into toll stations.
The two traffic officers were put on the public eye by the media while receiving bribe from motorists along the highway.
According to Laikipia East police boss Joshua Lutukai, Rift Valley Provincial Traffic Enforcement Officer Mary Omar toured the station last week over the issue.
Mr. Lutukai confirmed that the two had recorded statements and that the station will not be liable to their greedy deeds.
“The law will have its path over the matter and they shall carry their own cross individually”, said the police commander.
