Nairobi - The 2014
Koroga festival, held at the Arboretum Grounds in Nairobi over the weekend lived up to expectations, with fans calling out for more of the same in future editions.
Most simply described it as one of the best rumba festivals they have ever been to and this can be attributed to the fact
that the king was rumba, Papa Wemba was in town to perform at the festival. It will be an understatement to say that he went out on stage and blew the minds of all in attendance.
The festival was attended by hundreds who got a double serving of good music, with the main act
being backed up by Kenya’s very own Dan Aceda, who brought the best of the lake
" The Papa Wemba Dancers were… oh my god!, said one of the
attendees who we interviewed after the concert.
" Papa Wemba gave me a night to remember, another visibly happy fan said of the show.
" Awesome, to see him in the flesh is different to seeing him on screen, yet another one said of the talented Papa Wemba.
The event was sponsored by Capital FM and
Safaricom, who were also giving away airtime via #funtimesKE capping off on
what was an amazing night.
