The woman men love to avoid
23 September 2014, 13:20
Nairobi - The following just stand out and many can relate to. Does
not necessarily apply to Kenyan women only but most of us are prone to them.
Getting drunk hazardously
If you know you went
out during the weekend and you have no idea how you got home, you fall in this
category. There is nothing a guy hates more than having to carry your drunk
self anywhere, and that is a gentleman. I heard two guys at the gym talking and
one just said flat out, ‘I will leave her there....’ Do you have any idea how
embarrassing it can be for you to wake up in a ditch or on a field because no
one bothered to carry you back? It should serve as a lesson, not for you to go
and start lamenting how you do not have good friends who can take care of you. Men do not subscribe to be your baby sitter.
Some of you may sniff at this one but I have heard a lot of
complaints from guys about women who just do not buy deodorant. Others reek of
sweat and I am not sure if you are aware of this and you just do not really
care. Worst case scenario, even I have experienced it, is when you have a patch
of wet sweat under the arms. If you are working on a construction site and
digging in the trenches you can be excused but if you go under, he should love
me for me, then something is wrong with you. No one wants to be talking to you
while they face the other side to avoid your body odor. Not limited to sweat,
but some women just have funny odors from not showering properly.

Not leaving a little to the imagination
There is dressing sexy and dressing trashy. I am sure most
of you have no need to look far we have them all over in Nairobi, and just
Kenya generally. Ever heard the term, a little goes a long way. Looking like
you forgot a piece of your clothing at home does not impress anyone.
Being the man
I am not sure if it is a
trend I am missing out on, but recently while boarding a matatu, she was
looking early thirties pushing forty and was wearing Timberland's, had a
hoodie with a basketball jersey and big jean shorts, then to just prove the
point for me, she had tried to put make up on her face, it all just looked like a
tragic accident. If she was able to scare me, you can just imagine what she did
to the guys. There is a difference between pulling off the tomboy look and
being a grown woman dressed as a man and still trying to attract the said men.
People need to get in
shape. I know we talk a lot about, how the guys have the beer gut, and still binge
on nyama choma, but having a good body just says a lot for you as a woman. If
you want to have a gut and still squeeze into low cut tops and complain how
other women are stealing your man, then it is you who has a problem. If you do
not want to make the effort then you do not have the right to complain.
Unkempt nails and hair
I do not even need to
go into this one, there is no remedy other than cutting the nails and hair
short and going for the natural look if you cannot maintain it.
