The unheard side of Just A Band

Nairobi - The world knows Just A Band, Kenya’s very first House/Funk/Disco band to make it through to the international scene.
It has since 2008 rocked the world with some of the most innovative and creative sounds of this time. The band is best known for their breakthrough 2009 track Ha-He, which featured one of Kenya’s biggest urban legends called “Makmende”, and their 2010 release “Huff and Puff”.
They yesterday came out to release some of their older, unheard of work, recorded in 2012 in New York City.
"Here are two covers of FelaKuti’s ‘Who No Know Go Know’ and ‘Gentleman’ that we worked on for the Red Hot+Fela Project a few years ago. The songs feature collaborations with Childish Gambino (Eek!), Chance The Rapper (Eek!) and Bajah from Bajah + the Dry Eye Crew, a statement from the band said.
The best way to describe these tracks would be ‘Mind Melting’.
For those of you who are fans of the Late King of Afrobeat, FelaKuti, you are in for a treat. The fusion of these 3 styles and genres of music is just mind blowing and will leave you in a state of awe.
