Maseno - A 19-year-old girl is being held by police at Kodiaga Remand Prison after she allegedly killed a 55-year-old man over KES 300 sex-debt.
She appeared in Maseno Law Courts on Tuesday where she took a plea over murder charges.
The man was stabbed to death by a supposed ‘girlfriend’ he had taken to a lodge in Luanda market, Vihiga County, on Sunday night.
According to sources, the girl said before she was arrested, that she had to do away with the man after he failed to pay KES 300 for the services she offered him on the said night.
“The girl said that the man told her to wait until the following day so he could pay her dues as he had no cash on him that night. That is when she got furious and stabbed him on the chest severally at 3am when he was deep in sleep,” a source that wished not to be named said.

The man, who is a taxi driver in the town, was found dead in the room early Monday morning by operators at Goodwill Guest House in the town.
"Police at Luanda police Station got a report from members of public that someone had been killed at a popular joint in the town, and when we arrived at the scene, we indeed found the man still lying dead in the room they had booked with a knife lodged in his chest," said Luanda police boss, Benson Kilonzo.
He added, "I urge those who operate lodges to keep proper documentation of their customers so that in case of such an incident, the police are able to trace the persons involved easily."
The body was taken to Dolphin mortuary in Rabuor as further investigations are conducted regarding the incident.
