Nairobi - Teachers should remain on strike unless they are paid, the Orange Democratic Movement ODM has said.
ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba says that the government should respect the Supreme Court ruling as well as other court orders if they are serious about ensuring justice was equally spread out to Kenyans.
The government has thus far
Teachers have said that they will not go to class for the start of the new school term unless the 50-60% pay-rise is effected.
ODM supports the teachers.
" The government must support court orders and respect the right that teachers have earned in a legitimate and legal process," Namwamba said in Nairobi Tuesday.
Teachers say that they will not go to class until they are paid their money but the government says that there is need for time to be able to sort out a payment plan for teachers.
