Vihiga - A teacher who spent a night in lodging with his student last year was last week arrested and arraigned at Vihiga Law Courts.
Elisha Kedode, a former deputy principal at Mbihi Secondary School, was charged with sexual offence relating to position of authority and person in position of trust contrary to sexual offences Act 3 of 2006.
In the new case filed at the court, the student who spent the night with the teacher in lodging, and has since cleared her studies at the school, will now act as the complainant.

Senior Resident Magistrate Grace Mmasi released him on a bond of KES 100,000 with a surety of a similar amount.
The state counsel, Judith Kiptanui, argued that the offender was supposed to be given a substantial amount of the bond, since he has been evading arrest for the last four months.
The teacher was arrested while he attempted to sneak back into Mbihi Secondary school on Thursday morning.
