Taxi driver arrested for JKIA theft

Nairobi - A taxi driver has been charged in a Nairobi court for stealing equipment worth KES 165,000 from Kenya Airways.
The driver was charged Thursday with stealing a projector from the airline worth the above mentioned amount and trying to escape with it.
Named Polycarp Shiundu, the driver was arrested at the African Cargo Centre with the cargo and taken to a police cell.
He was arrested August 13, 2015.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges at a Nairobi court where he stated that he was falsely accused of the offence.
He stated that he was not aware that the goods were stolen and that they were left in his vehicle by mistake.
The accused was released on a KES 50,00 bail or KES 100,000 bind.
The case will be heard December 17,2015.
