Taps to run dry in Nairobi

Nairobi - Nairobi residents will be without water for a number of days, the Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company NWSC has announced.
The company stated in a statement Wednesday that the move was to complete much needed repairs and maintenance.
Water supply will thus be compromised from Wednesday to Sunday.
" The aim is to enhance the plant’s efficiency in production and water
quality and will result in a reduction of water production and supply by
30 percent," the firm said.
The areas to be affected during the maintainence are Westlands, Parklands, City Park, Lavington, Kilimani, State House and Loresho.
Others are, Waithaka, Kangemi, Mountain
View, Riruta, Satellite, Kawangware, Kibera, Madaraka, South C, Karen
" We ask for patience from city residents as we undertake these repairs," the statement added.
The repairs will be done at the Sasumua Water treatment plant.
