Take me to court, Raila mocks Waiguru

Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga says that he is ready to head to court if Devolution CS Anne Waiguru feels the need to sue him for alleged defamation.
Waiguru has threatened to take Raila to court and sue him for defamation claiming that he has spoilt her name over accusations regarding corruption at the National Youth Service NYS.
Raila has said that as the Devolution CS, Waiguru should take charge of the matter and as a result, resign and await investigations to clear her name.
Waiguru on the other hand has said that she is innocent in the loss of KES 791 million at the NYS.
Speaking to editors in Nairobi Wednesday, Raila said that he would not back down from the statements he has made alluding to Waiguru's role in the scandal.
" I do not fear court. We can go there. Reality is that she needs to step aside and allow investigations," he said.
The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions DPP on Tuesday named 27 people who he says were involved in the scam but Waiguru was not named in the list.
Raila feels there is a cover up to protect Waiguru.
" There is definitely a cover up to save the face of the government and the Devolution CS and I will not be afraid to say so," he added.
Waiguru says that unless Raila apologizes within 7 days, she will file for defamation.
