'Tahidi High' star dies

Nairobi - The entertainment industry has had heavy losses to its ranks
this year after losing Derick Amunga and Jastorina earlier in the year.
Yesterday, it lost another leading light after famed director Omwoko Aswani
passed away after a short battle with liver cancer.
Aswani 34, is said to have
discovered the illness barely a month ago after experiencing unbearable stomach
Aswani is known for directing some of Kenya’s leading TV
shows including Tahidi High, Makutano Junction, Machachari, Mashtaka, Mama Duka
and Auntie Boss among many others. The industry mourns the loss of a person who had great potential before his untimely demise.

Actor and presenter Otoyo came out on social media to mourn
