Nairobi - Kenyans were thrown
into a state of shock after learning that once legendary actor, Mzee Ojwang, was
living in abject poverty and had fallen ill.
Thousands rushed to his aid,
raising funds to help with his hospital bills and more. As it turns out, he is
not the only famous actor who has fallen into this state. Peter Kinuthia,
better known as Omosh in a popular high school drama Tahidi high, has according
to sources also fallen into the clutches of poverty and alcoholism.
He was recently in the
spotlight after he was involved a traffic collision which he survived with
minor injuries. The actor is rumored to have been drunk during the incident and
was driving a friend’s car, which he had borrowed.
His fall from grace has been
attributed to his addiction to alcohol, which has him living in Shauri Moyo, and
allegedly drinking illicit brews. Pleas have been sent out by friends for
people to come to the actor’s aid in the same way that people
rallied behind Mzee Ojwang.
Questions are now
being raised as to what the problem seems to be, with cases like this cropping
up every day. Some have asked questions of the people in authority, and whether
or not actors are paid well, while others are asking questions of these stars
