Nakuru - The National Alliance Party executive Director, Joseph Mathai is expected to meet the party members in Nakuru on Wednesday to address some of the serious problems facing the party.
This comes days after the Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) lost the Kajiado Central MP seat to Orange Democratic Movement.
The members matched to the TNA offices on Friday demanding Mathai to address them on matters affecting the party and the chaos being witnessed at the Nakuru county assembly.
According to Nakuru County branch acting chairman, Abdul Noor, the party has been facing a number of challenges attributed to failure to address party interests at the grassroots, with the recent one being the just concluded Kajiado by elections.
He said that the party top officials ignore activities at the grassroots level.
“We were saddened by the loss of our first candidate in Kajiado due to improper planning and poor nomination systems in electing candidates,” said Noor.
He added that the director should also address the issue of physical fights among some of their MCAs in the county assembly.
“We should be able to find a lasting solution to the conflicting issues and the misbehaving by our MCAs at the assembly,” he added.
He urged members of the Jubilee alliance to be careful when handling some members of the opposition who pretend to be working with the government but turn out to be spies.
“We want our office to emulate the URP who have already appointed their parliamentary aspirant in Njoro sub-County and coordinator at the County level,” he said.
