Nyeri - The National Alliance (TNA) party will collect one million signatures to compel the International Criminal Court (ICC) to drop the cases facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
The signature collection drive will be conducted in all Counties across the country.
Speaking to the media in Nyeri town, Mount Kenya TNA chairman Thuo Mathenge said the signatures will be an indication that Kenyans want the cases terminated.
“We will send one million signatures electronically to the court seeking to have the cases dropped. Kenyans are supporting the two leaders and the cases currently do not have Kenyans’ support,” Thuo claimed.
The party released the statement hours after President Kenyatta jetted back to the country after a status conference over his case at The Hague, Netherlands.
Thuo further said Mount Kenya voters will support Deputy President William Ruto after Uhuru Kenyatta's term expires.
“I have no doubt that Central people will support Ruto when his time comes,” asserted Thuo.
