Nairobi - The National Alliance (TNA) party has warned its officials at county level against repainting offices with Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) colours.
TNA national executive director, Joseph Mathai said JAP is a new political party with its own leadership different from that of TNA.
Speaking in Ragati primary school, Nyeri after donating more than 2000 pairs of shoes to vulnerable pupils, Mathai said merging of Jubilee coalition parties did not directly translate to dissolution of the member parties.
“The roadmap to merging TNA, URP and other affiliate parties must be instructed and informed by law. TNA has its own constitution. The two parties are yet to be dissolved to form JAP though the plans are in the pipeline,” Mathai stated.
He explained that a disciplinary action will be taken to TNA officials who have defected and repainted offices with JAP colours.
Mathai added that neither TNA nor URP officials will transit to be JAP officials unless through a resignation of defection.
“Those from TNA, URP or any other affiliate of the Jubilee alliance cannot cross over and belong to two parties at the same time,” noted Mathai.
