TNA offices close down
08 January 2013, 11:59
There was drama at TNA offices in Nakuru town on Monday afternoon leading to their immediate closure following a leadership row between two groups that both claimed to be the rightful occupants of the office.
Trouble ensued when a team led by Engineer Peter Njuguna stormed into the offices claiming to be the elected branch chairman of the party and chasing away all the sitting staff.
Peter Njuguna accused the other team of imposing as branch officials yet they were not appointed by anyone.
He added that his team had registered all the party members in Nakuru County but the other side led by Boniface Muhia had done nothing to mobilize the members and that they had only hijacked the entire process.
The self proclaimed chairman said that the TNA head office in Nairobi needed to come out clean and say who was the real chairman so as to restore confidence among the members and aspirants in Nakuru County.
The blame game continued with the ousted team blaming Njuguna's team of self interest and saying that they were only hungry for power and didn't even know who pays for the rent.
