A section of aspirants vying for various seats under the TNA ticket have protested against the move by the party to remove their names out of the members list.
The aspirants drawn from Laikipia, Nyandarua and Nakuru counties are now accusing the party leadership of having an insincere motive in the move.
They said that the were shocked to find that their names were not appearing in the party membership list despite them having registered.
In a press statement sent to reporters in Nakuru town on Wednesday morning, the aspirants led by Laikipia senator aspirant Weston Gitonga, they have now petitioned the party leader Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene.
He regretted that they all registered after the party was launched and their names have been appearing in the party list but upon rechecking last week, they were shocked to find their names missing.
Gtonga claimed that this might have been a plot by some political leaders to lock them out of the nomination exercise.
Gitonga regretted that they had played a big role in recruiting party members in the region and wondered how the party would strike their names off.
