Nairobi - Nyeri Women representative, Priscilla Nyokabi has forgiven those who accused her of fixing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Nyokabi said she will not move to court of law to sue those who maligned her on claims that she helped ICC to fix Uhuruto.
She said the reports, which made The National Alliance (TNA) disciplinary committee summon her, were based on rumours.
“There is no need to move to court but the accusers should know that it is wrong to accuse somebody without enough evidence. I was harassed so much in social media,” she added.
However, she said she was surprised that those who were spearheading the campaigns to malign her name were men who will never get her seat since it is preserved for women.
Nyokabi who was accompanied by Nyeri town MP Esther Murugi was speaking at New Life Church near Nyeri town on Sunday where she attended a thanksgiving ceremony after the TNA party cleared her on any wrong doing last week.
“I feel so much relieved now that my name has been cleared. I hope that even others who were summoned with me will be given a fair hearing,” she added.
She explained that she was a lawyer with Kituo Cha Sheria Institute and she only offered free legal advice to Internally Displaced Persons.
She maintained that she has been loyal to the party and to the Jubilee government and has even been paying the monthly party fee.
