TNA: External forces using Ruto to frustrate Jubilee agenda

11 February 2015, 21:57 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - The National Alliance party (TNA) has claimed that Bomet Governor who is also the Council of Governors chairman, Isaac Ruto is being used by external political and economic forces to frustrate development programmes of the Jubilee government.

TNA Nakuru branch chairman, Samuel Githaiga, said that Ruto’s opposition to the government is being fuelled by people who are against the government.

Speaking Wednesday at TNA Nakuru offices, Githaiga claimed that Ruto has joined hands with the opposition to frustrate the government after he realized that his interests were not being fulfilled under the Jubilee leadership.

“Governor Ruto has become the enemy number one of the Jubilee government. He is opposing everything the government does and this is simply because he has failed to get what he expected. I am sure that if Ruto got what he wanted, he would at the moment be the number one defender of the government," said Githaiga.

He added: “The opposition and foreign forces have bought him and he has agreed to help them in frustrating everything the government tries to do which is unfortunate because he was a critical force in drafting the Jubilee manifesto and now he is the one leading those critiquing what the government is doing.”

Githaiga called on Ruto to resign if he feels the government is not meeting his expectations and seek re-election on an opposition party ticket.
