Police in Tigania East district of Meru County are interrogating a
man who recently murdered his brother, wife and two children
following family differences.
Tigania East District Commissioner
Mwangi Meru told reporters in his his office that the police were
holding the suspect although he had sustained serious injuries on the
head during a confrontation with the deceased.

The D.C. said police were waiting for
witnesses who could have been present when the crime took place for them
to complete investigations and take the accused to court.
M’Kaira hacked four members of one family to death in an incident that shocked Kenyans.

bodies of the deceased, Kitati Itimui, his wife Susan Kathure and their
sons Jamleck and Francis Itimui were removed to the Meru level five
hospital awaiting postmortem examination.
