Four Sudanese nationals were arraigned on Monday before a Nakuru court charged with abduction and defilement of a 17 year old girl.
Thiong Thiong Ghak, Deng Aruel, Deng Thiong Ghak and Deng Dav Deng were jointly charged before Nakuru resident magistrate Judy Thuku that between the 5th and 6th of September at the Njoro Safari Rhino Lodge, jointly with others not before court, they abducted a 17 year old girl subjecting her to physical and psychological abuse.
They faced a second count of defiling the said girl on the same date.
The first accused faced an alternative charge of having an indecent act with a child.
They denied all the charges and the court directed that they be supplied with witness statements and the 2nd, 3rd and 4th accused be taken for age assessment after their lawyer informed the court that they were minors.
The court also directed that documentary evidence of age be provided when the case will come up for mention on September 20th 2012.
The court directed that the 1st accused be released on a Kenyan bond of KES 200,000 with a surety of similar amount and the 2nd ,3rd and 4th accused be released on a Kenyan bond of KES 50,000 with a surety of similar amount.
