Murang'a - Students of Murang’a Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) on Thursday took to the streets in protest after one of their colleagues allegedly committed suicide after being barred from sitting his exams.
Business came to a near standstill in the busy town as the placard-welding students demonstrated following the death of their own.
They apportioned blame to the institution for causing the unnecessary death of their colleague, Denis Isiepai, who was in his final year at the medical institution.
It is said the deceased, 26-year-old student who hails from western Kenya, had been sent out of an exam room for having a fee balance of KES 15 000.
