Public works assistant minister, Mwangi Kiunjuri has urged the government to stop salary payment to the current batch of MPs on January 15 next year when their term expires on January.
Speaking in Nyeri, the Laikipia east legislator said that they should not receive any more salary because this would amount to misuse of public money adding that if the parliament will not be dissolved by January then the legislators will work without payment.
Kiunjuri also said that the role of the recently appointed County
Commissioners must be clearly outlined so as to avert conflict of duties with the governors.
He also urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) and the office of the Attorney General to take stern action on politicians who spread tribal animosity in the country.
He said his party is ready to work with other political parties provided their agenda is to help the Kenyan community.
